张英雄（王锵 饰）从小就生活在父母的溺爱之中，性格难免有些软弱。某日，张英雄的父亲张肃清（姚培德 饰）在和政府拆迁办的工作人员陆志强（许江宁 饰）的争吵中突发心梗去世了。无奈之下，母亲带着张英雄搬进了舅舅家中，过起了寄人篱下的生活，舅舅和舅妈对待他们的态度并不算客气，这让张英雄的心理更加不平衡了，他决定找陆志强报仇。 张英雄搬出了舅舅家，在一家小店里当起了服务生，从这家店看出去刚好能够看到陆志强的家，张英雄就此认识了陆志强的女儿陆珊珊（周冬雨 饰）。陆珊珊是一个有着轻微智障的女孩，她的单纯和善良慢慢的消解了张英雄内心里的仇恨，他发现自己竟然爱上了她。
